IMG owners George Dunn, Eric Simonson, Phil Ershler and Paul Baugher have been climbing and guiding on Mt. Rainier since the early 1970's. Between us we have 1300 successful ascents of The Mountain. Rainier is our home, and we look forward to sharing our love of The Mountain with you.

IMG guides are world class

IMG is accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association. Our guides have trained and learned on Rainier and then gone on to lead programs around the world, from Antarctica to Mount Everest. But we still call Mt. Rainier home!

For first time climbers we offer a variety climbs of differing lengths so you can select the pace and the level of exertion that suits you best. For more experienced climbers we offer increasingly challenging routes and extended training seminars that concentrate on skill development to help prepare you for future climbs and expeditions.

All of our climbs are guided at a ratio of 1 guide for every 2 climbers, for more personal attention. Your guide will be able to focus on your individual needs and your rope team will move at a more efficient pace. Safety, success and enjoyment of the entire experience are our goals.
